Christmas and New Year

********************

Now Booking for 2008!  (New Year now fully booked!)

The festive season is great time to visit Colesent Cottages. We illuminate the eves of the stone barns with small white lights and station real Christmas trees, also illuminated, at the entrance to each cottage. We decorate the interiors of each cottage with holly from our grounds and a selection of other Christmas trimmings (Of course you can also bring your own!). We put together a small basket of Cornish goodies as our present to you and on arrival we treat you to a traditional Cornish Cream Tea!

There are loads of things to do and see while you are down here. Walking or cycling the Camel Trail (A bit of it or a lot of it!). Fabulous beaches to explore. Surfing (winter wetsuit required!) Coast paths to tramp. Bodmin moor to roam. Padstow, Port Isaac, Boscastle just 3 of many stunning picture perfect fishing villages. The market towns of Wadebridge and Camelford. The Eden Project - a world renowned environmental show stopper (complete with ice rink at this time of year). Authentic local pubs for great food and drink (real ales, cider etc). The Blisland Inn, The Olde Inn at St Breward, The St Mabyn Inn and The Cornish Arms at St Tudy are the local ones. Really wonderful sea food (to buy to cook in your cottage or to eat at local restaurants) Talking of restaurants, two of the UK's most famous chefs run restaurants within half an hours drive of Colesent. Padstow has been the home of Rick Steins Seafood restaurant for over 25 years and last year Jamie Oliver opened his "fifteen" restaurant in its stunning location above the crashing surf of Watergate Bay. Hopefully you get the picture, if I carry on typing you will be scrolling down this page for the next half an hour!

All our cottages are fully equipped and easily able to provide you and your party with all the ingredients for a successful and different Cornish Christmas or New Year. Swallow's Nest and Hollyhill are particularly spacious with good sized living and cooking/dining areas. The Bull's House is smaller but still perfectly formed with a wonderful dining conservatory giving unrivalled views of the Camel Valley. A fabulous setting for a Christmas or New Year special occasion. The cottages are centrally heated and we provide logs for your open fire or log burner throughout your stay. Electricity is included.
