All our cottages are 4 Star rated by Quality in Tourism on behalf of Visit Cornwall (latest inspection 19/06/2008). They feature central heating and either an open fire or a wood burner. Every Kitchen has a fan oven, microwave oven, washing machine and dishwasher. Hollyhill and Swallow's Nest have Freeview and DVDs players connected to the TVs whereas the Bull's House features full home cinema DVD, 27" LCD TV and Freeview. There are additional TVs in Swallows Nest and the Bull's House.

We feel it is important to pay extra attention to the small things that make a difference when you are on holiday. So we include:-

Bed Linen, Bath and Hand towels, first basket of logs for the open fire/wood burner (Nov to March), and of course kitchen crockery and utensils.

On top of that we also include other touches to enable you to travel without quite so much clutter. So we also provide:-

Tea-towels, a pan scrubber, sink brush, washing  up liquid, dishwasher tablets, kitchen foil, cling film, sandwich bags, bin liners, barbecue charcoal, firelighters, initial supplies of tea and coffee, salt and pepper, floor cloths and soap.

Laid out, ready for your arrival, will be a cream tea with scones, jam and clotted cream including supplies of tea and milk. With fresh flowers on the table we hope this will go some way to reviving you after a long journey.

Parking - Each cottage has parking for 2 cars. There is additional safe parking a short walk from the cottages.

Central Heating is included in you stay and functions for the following times:- 07.00 - 10.30 and then 16.30 - 23.00 in winter - Spring, Summer & Autumn times vary depending on weather. Combi boilers in all cottages provide hot water on demand at any time. LPG gas (which heats Swallow's Nest and Hollyhill) is the most expensive form of heating fuel and now costs 100% more than when we came to Colesent 4 years ago. This means that if heating is required during the day 10.30 - 16.30 or overnight 23.00 - 7.00 then an extra charge would have to be made. During Christmas and New Year bookings heating is included during the day at no extra charge.

Wireless Internet in Swallow's Nest and Hollyhill cottages. The internet connection would be suitable for checking emails, sending emails and straightforward internet browsing. The connection is shared with our domestic system and with 2 school age children I'm afraid, in the evenings, it gets a lot of use. Therefore I would suggest the connection is not suitable for downloading large files, streaming music services, video messaging, instant messaging etc.

N.B. Most Mobile networks give reasonable reception at Colesent with the exception of T Mobile.
